He did it!

I don't have any pictures (sorry Aunt Gail) because Eric and I were both in the water with Dylan, but he did it! The TORPEDO that is :) The torpedo is when Dylan got to swim underwater for the first time. For the past few weeks we have been working him up to this in our swim class. We count outloud to three and blow in his face so that he closes his eyes and holds his breath. Then he gets to go under! With the torpedo he goes under and we push him to each other so he gets some true swimming time! Don't worry - he doesn't go far (most of the time I couldn't let go before Eric had him) and it isn't long. He seems to really enjoy the swim class and loves splashing the water. It really only took the first class for him to open up. We have many girls in the class with us, and it seems that there are several who really aren't interested in the Torpedo, Dylan splashes and smiles as we bounce around - almost like he is trying to cheer them up.

In other news - the crib - over the weekend Dylan started sitting up in the crib after we put him down. This seems to be a rough transition for him, he really wants to sit. He won't lay down until he almost seems to collapse from exhaustion of sitting. We still really want him to be able to fall asleep on his own, so it has been a rough few nights. Once he is asleep though, then he is doing alright.

Dylan's second tooth (on the bottom ) is almost completely though. With all the recalls of infant Tylenol we hadn't gotten any of the generic stuff until today. So baby Orajel and teething rings were the most comfort we could give him other than a little TLC...

Hope to get a couple pictures from our day at the ballpark last week up soon. For now, this is it... it's late, and with me still nursing I'm pretty tired. I'm glad to say we haven't touched the formula yet - that's a big cost savings :)
