Memorial Day Weekend... relax and remember

We had a wonderful holiday weekend.  It started off rainy and Eric and I were wondering what in the world would we do to not get bogged down by the weather.  Then I remembered a little project that was just waiting to be done! Thanks to an Amazon box and toilet paper and paper towel rolls, a little crayon and imagination...and be hold "the box of tunnels"

D's obsession with tunnels lately on our drive home led me to think of this one.

After church on Sunday we headed for the rest of the long weekend to Grammie Pearls.  It was nice to get out of the city and relax in a small town for a change...

we got outside barefoot....

well, we weren't happy all the time!

but Grammie had a new to us train to play with :)

And we got to to see the parade!

we paused to remember... and enjoyed the downtown

It was a great weekend and summer is here Wisconsinites. So, put on the sunblock, but take off your shoes and walk slowly through the clover filled grass every now and again.  Enjoy and remember...
