What a wonderful feeling of warm sun we had yesterday in Milwaukee! Today, not so much...cold, rainy.
We are day two into STAYCATION 2010. We had hoped to take a little trip, Florida or some other warm destination, but after consternating over it for several hours one afternoon we decided to just stay. Stay here, stay home, and relax. We have plenty of projects to do around the house and plenty of things to see in Milwaukee. Eric had to work today and yesterday, but will be around the rest of the week.
On Monday Dylan and I went to the zoo with our friends Angela (the mom) and Evie (the daughter). Evie is just 3 weeks older than Dylan and they are both two little peanuts - on the light side for weight. The weather was unbelievable! Angela and I learned that we should remember to pack lunches not just for the kids, but for us too! We found the one food stand that had food other than popcorn for sale and got something for ourselves to eat too and really enjoyed the day. We saw all sorts of animals at the zoo - many of them were out now that the weather is nicer.
Today, Dylan and I enjoyed story time at Cranky Al's the local bakery/pizza place. Donuts in the morning, pizza in the evening, what could be better! Dylan actually paid attention to some of the songs and stories. He loves clapping hands and motions. He also loves music.
Here is a slide show of photos from Easter and the past couple of days...
